Indo Business Profile 2016 – Chandi Group USA

“I LOVE THIS CITY, THIS STATE, AND, THIS COUNTRY.”

These are the prophetic words of Indio businessman Nachhattar S. Chandi who is fast becoming one of California’s biggest business success stories. April 9, 2016 marks the 25th year since Mr. Chandi’s arrival in the United States and the city of Indio. He often tells friends, family, and others “I came from India to Indio, and as they say, the rest is history.”

He is placing his bets on Indio.

2015 was a banner year for Chandi Group USA. Mr. Chandi officially dedicated his new corporate headquarters in the City of Indio, making a multi-million dollar investment in a new suite of offices in the rapidly developing commercial center in Indio’s north side. Not far from his corporate office, one will find one of his three Indio ARCO AM PM gas stations, with convenience store and car wash, and directly across the street, along Jackson, is his soon-to-be open Dunkin’ Donuts franchise, the first of its kind in the entire Coachella Valley. Further west is approximately 80 acres of mixed-use commercial, retail and residential property known as “Northgate Crossing,” located at the intersection of Jefferson and Indio Boulevard, and regarded as the gateway to the City of Indio. The existing ARCO AM PM gas station there will soon be joined by other businesses. You would think most business owners would be happy with this pace of business growth but not Mr. Chandi. Let’s see what else he has in store for us.

Indio is the City of Entrepreneurs!

After spending just a few minutes with Nachhattar Chandi you realize just how much he believes in the City of Indio and that it is “the place to be” as the Coachella Valley and Chandi Group USA continue to expand east along the Interstate 10 corridor. Mr. Chandi’s next project, “Golf Center Village,” is under development less than 2 miles to the east of his corporate headquarters, at Golf Center Parkway and Interstate 10. Golf Center Village spans 20+ acres and is designed to be an eye-catching retail and entertainment center for the residents of Indio to enjoy for years to come. Of course, it will include an ARCO AM PM gas station, convenience store and car wash – the basic foundation of Mr. Chandi’s business success story. But again, let’s see what else he has in store for us, as there is one thing you can count on with Mr. Chandi: there will be more.
